Thank you for your support of the 2016 Operation: War Dogs fundraiser!

This year, we raised $1,250 for U.S. War Dogs Association Chapter 2

On July 4, 2016 Bass Pet Resort & Spa wrapped up its second annual Operation: War Dogs, fundraiser for non-profit organization U.S. War Dogs Association Chapter 2, the Florida chapter of the United States WarDonation_Update Total Web completed Dogs Association (USWDA). The fundraiser began on Memorial Day and ended on July 4th, 2016. This year, Bass Pet Resort raised a total of $1,250 for U.S. War Dogs Assn. CH 2 through Operation: War Dogs.

U.S. War Dogs Assn. CH 2 is a non-profit organization and veterans group who advocates for and supports their hero dogs and their handlers. These American Heroes keep their troops safe, secure and free in serving in the Military and Law Enforcement. They provide adoptions, veterinary benefits for retired dogs, packages of doggles and booties, toys and treats for deployed dogs, safety vests, memorial plaques, monuments and war dog medals.

“Bass Pet Resort is in a unique position to help an organization like U.S. War Dogs Assn. CH 2 because of the types of clients that utilize or services” said Patti Lehman, Owner of Bass Pet Resort & Spa. “Our clients believe pets are members of the family and through everyone’s gracious contributions we were able to make a difference for our K9 heroes! Their overwhelming response to this fundraiser shows that they feel the same way about the War Dogs who have loyally served to protect our country.”

During the fundraiser, Bass Pet Resort encouraged their clients to donate by giving away a free night of lodging to anyone who donated $100 to U.S.War Dogs Assn. CH 2. They also were able to get the message across which created a lot of hype to others in the surrounding areas of the Orlando, FL market.

When asked what this fundraiser means to U.S. War Dogs Assn. CH 2, their founder Barbara Snow said, “Bass Pet Resort did an amazing job with every aspect of this fundraiser. They were able to push our organization in the right direction and because of them they deserve community recognition for what they have done for our entire organization. These donations provide for adoptions, memorial plaques, war dog medals, monuments and veterinary benefits for all retired military dogs. Without organizations like Bass Pet Resort, we would be very limited in our ability to effect positive change for United States War Dogs.”

“We are so grateful to Bass Pet Resort for this amazing fundraiser. This money helps us continue to rescue and care for more War Dogs and achieve our mission. These dogs do so much for mankind, and this fundraiser allows us to continue to give back to them,” she added.
